Help Sycamore Speedway and the Northern Illinois Trail Runners Organization (NITRO) raise funds for local children with Cystic Fibrosis by taking part in the Sycamore Speedway NITRO 10K run, 5K run/walk, or Kids Race. You can have friends or family contribute on your behalf using this link:  CFF

Both the 5K and 10K events begin on the Sycamore Speedway racetrack and end behind the grandstands.  The Kids Race is entirely on the Speedway track.   The 5K and 10K both start on the racetrack course with the majority of the run on the scenic Great Western Trail.

Post race festivities include a barbeque lunch (proceeds go to charity) and beer garden (1 free beer per runner).

5K and 10K Runners receive a custom designed technical race t-shirt.  Kids Racers get race numbers and a chance for prizes.  Sorry, T-shirt not included for Kids Race  All runners get course support, postrun goodies, and a free family pass to the evening races/demo derby

Awards and Prizes

10K 1st Place Male & Female $75, 2nd Place Male and Female $50, 3rd Place Male and Female $25. 

5K 1st Place Male & Female $40, 2nd Place Male and Female $25, 3rd Place Male and Female $15.

Age Group prizes, 3 deep in both races, in the following ranges 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over.

Award ceremony to follow the 10:30 kids race.  Must be present to recieve award
